Super Eagles trio of Emmanuel Dennis, Samuel Kalu and Oghenekharo Etebo were in action as Watford lost 4-0 to Wolves in Thursday’s Premier League game.
Dennis, who was making his 26th appearance, has scored 9 goals for the club this season.
He was however, checkmated by the Wolves defence as he failed to add to his goal tally.
Meanwhile, Kalu came on as a substitute in the 46th minute for Joshua King while Etebo was brought in the 73rd minute of the game.
The duo made a appreciative impact but could not save Watford from losing against Wolves.
Raul Jimenez turned home a 13th-minute opener from Hwang Hee-chan’s short pass before a Cucho Hernandez own goal and a first-time Daniel Podence effort.
Ruben Neves rounded off the scoring with a magnificent chip five minutes from time as Wolves equalled their biggest Premier League win, matching their thrashing of Blackpool 11 years ago.
In the other game, Chelsea beat bottom club Norwich as Mason Mount scored one and made another on the day his club’s long-term future was thrown into uncertainty.
On the pitch, Chelsea’s players responded to one of the most dramatic days in the club’s 117-year history by storming into a 2-0 lead inside the opening 15 minutes on their way to a fourth successive league win.
Trevoh Chalobah opened the scoring in the third minute after meeting Mason Mount’s corner before Kai Havertz set up England’s Mount for his eighth goal of the season.
Norwich were much better after half-time and Teemu Pukki gave his side hope from the penalty spot after Chalobah handled, but Havertz sealed the points with a late third for Chelsea.
While the win strengthened Chelsea’s grip on third spot, Norwich are five points from safety with just 10 games left.

I saw the match, in fact, only Etebo impressed despite being introduced later into the game. This Dennis guy might end up a fluke afterwards.
@Moses, that is a wise observation and in fact, Etebo has come good with his game. It didn’t look as if he just came out of injury.
LMFAO! THIS GUY DENNIS SHOULDN’T BE ANYWHERE NEAR THE SE..
IMAGINE JUST 9 GOALS IN ALMOST 30 APPEARANCE??? AS A STRIKER?? POOR!! LMFAO!!!
AND THE FUNNY THING IS HE GOES ABOUT WITH SHOULDERS HIGH LIKE SOME C. RONALDO OR SOMETHING.. LMFAO!!!!
Ronaldo also has 9 goals this season in the epl although for just 23 games.
After Salah on 19 goals , The next on the list of goal scorers mane and jota have just 12 goals ( 3 goals difference)
Considering the team he is playing for he has done very well this season.. no wonder he plays 90mins in every game except when injured
