Manchester United legend, Peter Schmeichel has faulted Aaron Wan-Bissaka for Brentford’s equaliser against the Red Devils in Saturday’s Premier League game.
Recall that Man United were minutes away from claiming victory before the host leveled parity.
However, in a chat with Supersport, Schmeichel said that Ivan Toney would’ve been offside if it wasn’t for Wan-Bissaka, who didn’t push forward with the rest of United’s defensive line.

“If you look at Wan-Bissaka at Brentford’s goal, that’s what I mean. Wan-Bissaka is out there on the left, the ball is played and then look at him. He goes, goes and goes,” Schmeichel said on Supersport.
“Ivan Toney would have been offside if he had followed up the back chain, and then that goal would not have happened. Look at him! It’s not Manchester United. It is not pride. It is not standard. It’s not focusing on what your job is.
“He costs there. It’s not to blame him for everything, but because of what he did or didn’t do – a simple thing like concentrating – they equalized.”
