Super Eagles duo of Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi were in action as Chelsea defeated Nottingham Forest 3-2 in Saturday’s Premier League game.
Awoniyi, who has been injured since the early part of January 2024, came on as a second half substitute for Moussa Niakhaté in the 87th minute.

He has made 19 appearances, scoring six goals and and bagging three assists this ongoing season.
On the other hand, Aina who was making his 22 appearances, has scored one goal and bagged one assist this season.
Chelsea took the lead through their first attack when Mykhailo Mudryk swept home in the eighth minute after a beautifully crafted pass by Cole Palmer.
However, Willy Boly header leveled parity for Nottingham Forest in the 16th minute before Callum Hudson-Odoi sent Forest into a 74th-minute lead with a curling finish from 15 yards.
But then, substitute Raheem Sterling made it 2-2 for Chelsea in the 80th minute before Nicolas Jackson struck an 82nd-minute winner to the delight of the the Blues supporters.
