Tammy Abraham continued in his rich vein of form for Chelsea hitting the back of the net once as the Blues thrashed Southampton 4-1 at the St Mary’s Stadium, reports Completesports.com.
The young forward opened scoring for the visitors in the 17th minute slotting home Callum- Hudson Odoi long pass.
Mason Mount doubled Chelsea’s lead seven minutes later, poking the ball home superbly after he was teed up by Willian.
Danny Ings reduced the deficit for Southampton on the half hour mark, before goals from NG’olo Kante and substitute Michy Batshuayi sealed victory for Chelsea.
At the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal secured a hard fought 1-0 win against Bournemouth to move to third position in the table.
David Luiz netted the only goal of the game in the ninth minute from Nicolas Pepe’s corner kick.
In the afternoon’ other fixture, Adama Traore struck twice in the second half as Wolverhampton Wanderers defeated Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
