Nigeria Premier Football League (NPF) giants, Enyimba of Aba, recently visited former Nigeria captain and coach, Christian ‘Chairman’ Chukwu, at his residence in Trans Ekulu, Enugu, Completesports.com reports.

“Christian Chukwu is a member of the Enyimba family, and we’re here to reassure him that he remains an integral part of the club,” Ekwueme said.
“We came to assure him that, even in his advanced years, he remains our ‘father’ and is always welcome in Aba. He only needs to inform us whenever he wishes to visit.
“I played under him, and our Chairman, Nwankwo Kanu, also played under him. This highlights the bond we share with him, both as a club and as individuals.”

During the visit, Enyimba presented souvenirs, including club jerseys and a cap, to Chukwu, who captained the Green Eagles to their 1980 Africa Cup of Nations triumph. They also offered Christmas gifts, including festive items and a token, as a gesture of goodwill.
The 73-year-old, who will turn 74 on January 4, 2025, expressed his gratitude for the club’s thoughtful gesture.
“I’m happy with your visit and wish Enyimba the best in their endeavours,” Chukwu said.
