Enyimba have been eliminated from this year’s CAF Champions League following a 1-0 loss to their hosts Al Hilal of Sudan in the second leg of their first round encounter in Omdurman on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.
Al Hilal won the contest 1-0 on aggregate after both teams battled to a O-0 draw in the first leg.
The hosts scored the winning goal in the second half after either team failed to register a goal before the break.
The Enyimba will now drop down to the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs following the loss.
Enugu Rangers are other Nigerian team in the Confederation Cup.
The Flying Antelopes defeated AS Pelican of Gabon 4-3 on aggregate to seal their passage into the playoffs.
