Former Flying Eagles head coach Emmanuel Amuneke has told the team to expect a tough duel in their semi-final fixture against Mali at the Africa U -20 Cup of Nations in Niger, reports Completesports.com.
The seven-time African champions will face Mali in the last four tie at the Seyni Kountche Stadium, Niamey on Wednesday.
The Malians booked a spot in the semi-final on Saturday after securing a hard fought 1-0 win against Ghana at the Maradi Stadium.
The Young Eagles finished in second position in the group behind title favourites Senegal.
The Flying Eagles sealed a spot in the semi-final on Friday after edging out hosts Niger 1-0 in their final Group A clash.

“Our players have to do more of team work. The semi final match against Mali would be explosive and would be an interesting one,” Amuneke told reporters at the Seyni Kountche Stadium.
“But if we play as a team rather than players doing their individual thing, we would come out on top.
Amuneke, who is head Coach of Tanzania, is in Niger Republic as a Member of the CAF Technical Study Group at this championship.
