Real Madrid and Barcelona supporters in Nigeria, Mexico and Colombia can vieSunday’s hugely awaited LaLiga El Clasico in the presence of legends and LaLiga Ambassadors at specially organised viewing parties in each country. And these are just three of nineteen events being organised around the world for Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona, the most high-profile and best game in world football.
The two teams come into the clash at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid battling at the top of LaLiga Santander’s standings, with Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, Antoine Griezmann, Sergio Ramos and company nearing top form as the season’s biggest games arrive.
The action from the Bernabeu is being broadcast to a potential audience of more than half a billion TV viewers in 183 countries worldwide, while fortunate fans in Lagos, Mexico City and Barranquilla can watch the game in the company of former El Clasico stars who are now LaLiga Ambassadors: Samuel Eto’o, Rafa Marquez and Fernando Hierro.
1,200 LaLiga fans will attend the Lagos viewing party at the Landmark Beach resort right at the seafront on Victoria Island. Three-time LaLiga winner Eto’o, a former teammate of Messi at the Camp Nou who ironically began his career with Real Madrid, will be on hand to share his views on the game.

Popular local DJ Crowd Controller will keep the party going both before and after the action from the Bernabeu, while fans can get involved themselves with the special social media hashtag #ElClásico9ja. The event is organised along with LaLiga’s Nigerian broadcast partner Supersport and LiveScore.
Mexico City’s viewing party takes place at the Campo Marte equestrian facility in the Chapultepec city park, thanks to LaLiga’s broadcast partner Sky Mexico. Up to 5,000 LaLiga fans are expected from midday local time, all eager to meet four-time LaLiga winner Marquez, who played at four World Cups for Mexico’s national team and starred for Barcelona under Frank Rijkaard and Pep Guardiola.
There will also be music and family fun activities including ‘Chutagol’ and ‘Angry Ball’ before and after the game, and everyone can join in under the #ElClásicoMexico social media hashtag.
LaLiga’s Colombian broadcast partners DirecTV have helped organise a viewing party for 3,000 football fans at Barranquilla’s Coliseo Umberto Perea sporting venue. Real Madrid fans present will be very excited about the chance to meet Real Madrid legend and five-time LaLiga winner Fernando Hierro, who also coached Spain at World Cup 2018.
It all starts at midday local time, while everyone present can enjoy games and activities before and after viewing the game on the big screen and share their experience on social media using the hashtag #ElClásicoColombia.
Beyond these three events for El Clasico, another 16 will be taking place around the world this coming Sunday, from Australia to Canada including Egypt (as one of three countries in Africa), Hungary, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg, New York in the United States and in four more locations around South America. One thing is clear: the whole world is waiting for El Clasico with excitement.
