Chidera Ejuke provided an assist which was not enough to propel Hertha Berlin to a second win of the season, as they could only settle for a 2-2 home draw against Bayer Leverkusen in Saturday’s Bundesliga fixture, Completesports.com reports.
Hertha Berlin have now recorded just one win, two draws and three defeats this season.
With Hertha Berlin down 1-0, following Kerem Demirbay’s opener for Leverkusen on 49 minutes, Ejuke then set up teammate Suat Serdar for the equalizer on 55 minutes.
Ejuke was later replaced in the 67th minute in the game which was his sixth league appearance.

In the 74th minute Marco Richter put Hertha Berlin 2-1 ahead before Patrik Schick drew Leverkusen level on 79 minutes.
The draw saw Hertha Berlin now occupy 14th position on five points after six games played so far.
And at the PreZero Arena, Kevin Akpoguma featured for Hoffenheim who returned to winning ways with a convincing 4-1 home win against 10-man Mainz.
However, prior to the start of the second half Akpoguma was replaced by French player Stanley Nsoki.
Akpoguma has played in all of Hoffenheim’s six Bundesliga games this season.
Hoffenheim now climb up to second place on 12 points, same points with league leaders Bayern Munich on the log.
