Ebuehi spent last season on loan at Dutch club FC Twente and scored once in 33 league appearances.
Twente failed to take up the option to sign the versatile defender on permanent deal as tbey deemed the €2m fee demanded by Benfica too high.
The 25-year-old linked up with Benfica from Dutch outfit ADO Den Haag in 2018 on a five-year contract.
The Nigeria international however missed the entire campaign due to injury.

That guy Tyronne is one of our best right back, and our boys are doing good business in this market. All the best Tyronne.
You are so right brotherman. I and I have always believed that deserving Super Eagles players will always get great deals in the transfer market. Ebuehi is not like those Jankara market players who focus on dancing shaku shaku and end up playing Kerewa Kerewa football. Ebuehi has righteous agents and not evil agents. Lolzzzz
Jah bless Ebuehi, Jah bless all deserving Super Eagles players.
Best of luck.
Next stop, italy! Lets see how it goes!!!!
