Super Eagles have sent official message to their fans, especially those who visited to support them at their Ismailia training camp, that the team will not disappoint at the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, Completesports.com reports.
The Super Eagles rounded off their program at pre-tournament training camp in Ismailia on Sunday with a friendly match against the Teranga Lions of Senegal . Gernot Rohr’s team lost the game played at the pitch of Hotel Mercure 1-0.
The Super Eagles were billed to depart Ismailia on Monday afternoon for Alexandria where they will play their three AFCON 2019 Group B games.
A handful of Nigeria fans living in Cairo were in Ismailia to witness the friendly match against Senegal. And they will be among many more vociferous supporters in Alexandria as the Super Eagles start the crunch AFCON 2019 games with their Group B opener against the Swallows of Burundi on Saturday June 22.
Nigeria will clash with Syli Nationale of Guinea on June 26 before facing the Barea of Madagascar in their last group match on June 30.
An official message from the camp of the three-time African champions was published on the Super Eagles Twitter platform on Monday morning, appreciating the fans for their support and reassuring them that the team will make them proud at the AFCON finals.
“We appreciate the support of Nigerians in Cairo who visited us in camp just to wish the team a very successful #TotalAFCON2019 campaign. We will not disappoint you #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong,” the Tweet reads.
“After a week of intensive training and hard work ahead of the #TotalAFCON2019, we will be leaving Ismailia this afternoon (Monday) for Alexandria where we will play all our Group B games.
Thank you Ismailia. #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong.”

I believe that they will perform better when the tournament begins. For now, everyone
is avoiding sustaining injury.
Very true considering a number of them are injury pronr or recently recovered e.g ekong was getting over some knee issues vs zim and we all know balogun is injury prone.
