Onyeka scored Slavia Prague’s third goal of the game? I think he plays for Midtylland.
@Temitope, Check well. We have two Nigerians facing each other today. Olayinka Vs Onyeka. Olayinka scored first for Slavia Prague then Onyeka scored Midtyland Third goal to make it 1-3.
I think Onyeka is a real big deal. And I would love to see him start in our DMF role. Today’s game also shows he plays CM comfortably too. So we got a player in this guy I must tell you.
K.Nwakali missing again. Not listed on Match day squad. I hope this puts the shouts from his fans to bed. He can’t smell the Super Eagles now… let him sort out his Club fortunes. Work extra hard and command Regular shirts at Huesca before he dreams of the Super Eagles.
… @Chairman! Guy, be calming down to understand what you are reading first before rushing to comment. It stated Kelechi Nwakali was not listed for action due to injury. It did not say he was surplus to requirement… Let’s pray Nwakali settles fast at Huesca without recurring injuries… If he is fit bro he is a bunch any day! One love…
I saw the game specifically because of Onyeka. The guy is decent. I loved the way he pressed high up the pitch in the lead-up to the 3rd goal as well as the way he took the goal itself….he took it like some experienced center forward. Although he didnt play enough forward passes during the game for me to assess how good or incisive he can be…we need more of ball playing midfielders in the SE, that’s what helped Aribo walk straight into the team…..he would definitely give the likes of Agu and Ramon Azeez a fight for a fringe-role place in the SE. He still looks a long way off from what Etebo, Ndidi or Aribo have to offer. But a decent midfielder he really is. A step-up to a bigger/more competitive league will not hurt his profile if you ask me.
Olayinka was his usuall bubbly all-action self, playing once again as a CENTER FORWARD for Slavia…his early goal was a fitting reward for a good individual performance….but hey, I wish he were a tad calmer. With the glut of centre forwards we currently have in the SE…..he might need to offer more than his tenacity to stand a chance in the team…..unfortunately Rohr hardly plays with 2 CFs, else he would have been a perfect foil for a partner like Dessers, Onuachu or Simy….CFs who are more static than mobile.
Hoping Kelechi Nwakali can bounce back stronger from injury. I saw his maiden La Liga match and he really looked up for it. He played with zeal and zest.
With Peter Olayinka out of Europa League competition, playing in the Czech League doesn’t do his slim Super Eagles chances any good. The vivacious center forward covers a lot of grounds on the pitch.
Frank Onyeka’s invitation to the Super Eagles has made him a player of enhanced interest. Good to see that his sojourn in the Uefa Champions League qualifiers led to a slot in the group stages of stages of the competition. Super Eagles fans can now look forward to watching him romance with quality oppositions in that tournament.
Emphatic displays from the youngster should do his chances of moving to a mainstream league a world of good.
Great one again Dr. Drey.Onyeka is one of the great things to have happened to us in recent times.Like u said he’s not there yet,he is still very young and still learning the trade.I watch enough of him last season to make my conclusions that he’s a fine footballer and will do great things if he keeps up the hard work.Onyeka reminds me of a certain Kessie in AC MILAN and Micheal Ballack. He brings balance to the team by controlling the mid sections well.As u earlier noticed he doesn’t make too many forward or long passes but make short passes withing his section to feed others withing his range. That to me might be the instructions from the coach perhaps so that the ball is not easily lost.In all with time and a move to a bigger club his true attribute will unfold.
