More to come dessers. I feel for you.
I am hearing that rohr is planning to reinvite unuocho for coming afcon qualifications, e be like say rohr wan dey form buhari for eagles fans, he better connect with fans before he go begin see END ROHR for youth banners. wat kind of senseless sturboness be that; how can you be forcing players into us. osihmen iheanacho and maja simple. that’s our best according to their league’s too. upon all the average performance of unuocho, moses Simon ROHR will continue inviting him and using him to bench more talented players like onyekuru and ejuke like we saw against Tunisian claiming that moses can deffend ( when did super eagles winger turned defenders) how can we win afcon with unuocho and moses Simon /aweziem /omeruo. these are names that will put rohr in his nest mess. I have repeatedly said that my problem with rohr is invitations and funny line-ups. in some ocassions. he should allow the nation to move forward by uprooting some weeds out from the productive players. haba when rohr came new I saw him play a 20 to 21 iwobi and iheanacho ahead of the regulars we won Zambia in their home and drew Senegal in London. The man came fearlessly and with alot creativity. presently the man is acting like an imposter. too an extents he and yobo was given contradictory instructions to the players in touchline against Tunisia that’s to tell you how things have gone bad, I suggest Gernot Rohr to go for a proper medical cech up to see if he is mentality or physically fit for this Job
I also read it too at owngoalnigeria.com site and I was shock with such plan. I don’t want to believe what I read about Rohr’s intention of reinviting Paul Onuachu to the national team again but I am somehow afraid as owngoal’s future predictions have always come to reality at least for about 85percent.
I will wait with Keen anticipation to see how it will pan out by the time his list is finally out next week.
Should he invite the guy again and he continues from where he stopped last week then, Rohr will have some tactical questions to answer as well as loosing some of his favorite supporters. For me, i will always pick Maja and Dessers or even untested Moffi ahead of Onuachu.
Maja and Dessers haven’t done enough to be handed a call up for our future games unless with the intention of capping them officially.
Apparently, super eagles best strikers judging by national team performances are Osimhen,Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa.
This three players are tested and trusted.
@Greenturf why do you keep Pushing this Ahmed Musa Story or have you not recently read that he is surplus to requirements in Saudi Arabia irrespective of what is put out in the Media. He is a free Agent meaning he doesn’t even have a club. Which Means by the time the games come he will even be less effective than he was against Tunisia. What is this Musa story you and Dr Drey keep Campaign for. O mere unu Ogwu or something.
Please free us with is Ahmed Musa campaign. Dessers and Maja are alot younger alot Hungrier and most importantly a lot more effective than Musa will be but even they should be back to: Osimhen, Iheanacho and maybe Simy Nwakwo( However he has not impressed me with his displays in Seria A despite his two penelaties he misses alot of sitters). So maybe Maja can be slotted in because we have seen Dessers. and on the wings Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman, Chideira Ejuke and Samuel Kalu or even Simon Moses( He did well against Tunisia and Henry Onyekuru is currently struggling for club form)
Ahmed Musa needs to prove himself again he has been a shadow of himself for at least 5yrs now, despite flash in the pan performances in between
But Musa hardly disappoints playing for Nigeria. The players you listed to make the team ahead of Musa are not new to the super eagles you know. And if you should judge their performances when invited and that of Musa and if you are honest with your judgement you will agree Musa did better.
In the last international he had an assist and won us a penalty in the only game he featured and was fantastic in Nigeria’s last two tournaments where fans favourite Onyekuru failed to shine.Musa is consistently reliable and committed to the Nigerian course.
I am not being sentimental and stand nothing to gain supporting Musa falsely. If a better player emerges I shall be in the front of supporters for the new player but for now unfortunately,he is relevant in the national team I am afraid and sorry if that hurts.
@Greenturf…..abeg leave the ethnic bigot. The only player who contributed something meaningful to the SE in the last friendly window despite not playing for weeks needs to prove himself…LMAO. Nigeria’s top scorer at the world cup needs to prove himself against players who do not even know what a world cup look like yet….LMAO. 15 goals and as many assists as a winger in the national team and still counting. Musa is flash in the pan, but onyekuru, kalu and chukwueze are his x-factor players…LMAO.
Ahmed Musa till 2022…..When your ex-factor players start becoming as committed and productive to the Nigerian cause as that flash in the pan SE captain, then we will excuse Musa from the team, till then bigots can continue to bite trees allover the place.
Okay oo @Dr Drey let Musa Command A starting place in either England, Spain, France, Germany, italy or Portugal top teams etc and not be relegated to the Under 23’s of La liga or Premier League team like it embarrassingly happened at Leicester City. Then you will convince me that he has more potential than Samuel Chukwueze Who currently has played more games for his La Liga club than Any Super Eagles Player in the SE with the exception of Victor Osimhen and Joe Aribo (had he not been injured). Mind you Osimhen needs to start banging in goals I am getting worried.
@Dr Drey you like to insult people, its okay I forgive you we all know its lack of Proper Upbringing so it will be unfair to hold your trashy talks against you we should blame those that raised you. Anumanu!!!!!…
P.s I am not a tribalist although with the Current goings on in this country I don’t think anyone will blame me. Thank you and have a good day
@ Drey, exactly, the opinion Musa has an unaccomplished career in the national team is untrue and harsh!I don’t give credence to their wrong assessment of Musa
@Iwunze. As far as the history of a big club like CSKA is told, a whole chapter will be dedicated to a certain Ahmed Musa. As far as the history of Wingers in SE is told, a certain Ahmed Musa will occupy the front page as one with the best goals and assist records for the national team…up till as recent as the last match that was played. And as far a trashy talks are concerned on this forum, your place as the dirtiest and mannerless of them all is undisputed….calling your father’s mate bastard, dull, dumb, dizzy etc. So blame the dogs that raised you for your stupidity renowned senselessness, and the public object of disgrace you have grown to become.
You are as good as your last game…..Captain Ahmed Musa produced an assist and earned us a penalty in the last game where your ex-factor potentials were clueless. Till when your overrated tingods start delivering in the National team like Musa, you can continue to lick gutters whenever you see Ahmed Musa invited to the SE.
Useless born-by-mistake.
@Dr Fraud If dogs raised me how come you are always barking like a mad one. Clearly I now see that you are as good at denouncing your race as you are at talking trash. I didn’t expect less a coward like you will never admit he is actually a dog using his dirty paws to type on his smelling keyboard. once again my hats off to the animals that raised u they clearly did a good job you are no different from my Rottweiler that is currently barking in my backyard. go back to your kennel Anumanu!!!!!!!.
Dessers will start to score for Nigeria soon.
I really believe this, if he is given the chance!
Rohr problem is NFF, they dont want to allow him to choose his team, they impose players on him, Oyibo like talented players even if your 15years old, they dont mind to take you to world cup but here in Arica, specially Nigeria, tribe problem, religious problem. Onuachi is a club players and too tall to run or hustle ball in midfield, Omeruo and Awuzien need urgent replacement before world cup and we need more defenders and midfielders who can change game. NFF need to implore another assitant coach who is a strikers in his time so that he can help in tactical solutions, Rohr and Yobo is a defenders, they can only plan how to defend but planing how to scrore is for strikers and midfielders in they days
Great coaches today we praise enthusiastically the likes of Klopp,Guardiola,Mourinho the list go on.This coaches never played all the positions on the pitch in their prime, some weren’t even footballers but today you could hardly fault any department of the team they coach.
So the point I am making is a coach doesn’t need to have played in a certain position to make it better. If that’s the case every team will have 11 coaches each assigned to train a player haha…Seriously!
I mean no harm but @collins I don’t agree with your views that rohr should listen to the fans. this is football, and the make up of fans is such that there will always be contracting views. for instance, just for the sake of proving that your thoughts too are not infallible – onuachu is SE eagles top goalscorer in Europe top flight league. this guy can play every well against teams that have poor records of defending set pieces. more so, that he is not playing well at SE doesn’t mean he’s terrible. watch his highlights…
secondly, you mentioned onyekuru. seriously, how can you mention a player that has not been given a single minute in the last 5 matches and use this as a reason for sacking rohr? this is terrible misjudgment.
no SE fan has the sole right to demand a #endrohr movement all because of differing opinions. even our every own SE legend himself, the late Stephen Keshie was said how difficult it is to coach the SE because of the “online coaches” who knows best only after post match result!
mind you, I don’t necessarily agree that onuachu should be invited but I believe the coach has his reasons… I personally (a pes manager coach lolz) would have gone for osimhen, Iheanacho (both would be partners) and lookman as a backup striker (instead of musa) to play as a false 9.
I don’t go for dropping moses simon for any reason
Super Eagles all the best!!
@Kingston, Rohr must not necessarily be sacked, I am actually not against him, i am quite disappointed nomatter his reasons, reinviting unuocho means Rohr needs to see a doctor or visit a celestial church, if rohr can ignore ideye and simy despite they where better options than unuocho why is Rohr still insisting in him? mind you i am not the only one who doesn’t want unuocho; i follow many Nigeria sport channels and have heard alot opinions on him only his family members and some hypocrite wants him. anyway na Rohr know pass, time Will tell, as for Moses Simon i have seen enough and I personally think he is also a club performer; though many of you guys try to decorate him, but i haven’t seen anything spectacular in him, his performance for Naija in recent games is below average no creativity, no superb dribbling or crosses; always dancing around and disconnecting, no shot that is what replay. even balogun will do better than him upfront lol.(no sentiments just prove me wrong) musa, victor moses, kalu and chukueze in their best form are better performers than moses Simon, onyekuru against Egypt was very inspiring and creative, his last minutes against Algeria was also promising. I can understand Simon is very hard working player and very discipline but he have long lost that natural flowing moves that he possessed in his early days, I will prefer him coming late than starting games (especially games that must be win).
@collins I agree with this statement – “his performance for Naija in recent games is below average no creativity, no superb dribbling or crosses; always dancing around and disconnecting, no shot that is what replay” and “I can understand Simon is very hard working player and very discipline but he have long lost that natural flowing moves that he possessed in his early days, I will prefer him coming late than starting games (especially games that must be win)” this is true
I remember watching simon in a friendly match Nigeria won 3-1 long time ago. this guy showed so much dribbling and movement down the flank that even chidera ejuke will take notes… but today what we see is a optionplayer with excellent workrate and discipline but no attacking skill. too bad
I also won’t agree that rohr should try to reinvent onuachu because is national football not club side. why waste that much time, when we’ve players like akpom, maja and lookman. but ideye is a not an option
Generally…we really need to try different players From that wings and if non, we can manage cos they are not that bad.
Chukwueze: Either he starts and get substituted or he comes in for his club, he is becoming to look like a player coming from bench to create problems. He doesn’t make crosses.
Ejuke: Ditto
Kalu: Same (sometimes they don’t use him at all)
Simon: well, for his club, he plays regularly and makes few crosses but here he becomes someone else.
In general, we really need a starter, players like Finidi, Utaka, Odemwingie etc cos its like we are having TJ Babangidas,Ikedias type of players all through.
We really need to try Bazee(if fit), Lookman, Dennis etc. And if they don’t perform better, we stick to what we have. They do have their days too.
I disagree with you on Babangida who starred for Nigeria and Ajax.He put on great performances for club and country and not one to be written off.
@Greenturf,just try and read again. Ikedia too played for Ajax and what I said we need was a starter. Back then, finidi starts the match and Tijani enters with his speed to finish off the already weakened defenders same as ikedia.
And I only compare our current wingers with him cos they possess the same strengths, (Speed and dribbles) I never said they under performed. Hence the reason why I said they should try new(as Starters) or blend with the old since Majority of them play the same way.
If Simon is not good for Eagles, I dont think Chukwueze or Kalu is better.. Compare the statistics of these three players for SE and clubside and you’ll realize that Simon has a better record for SE in terms of goals, Assist and team contributions.
Some online pundits need to be sincere with their submission and desist from sentiments.
I do agree these three players need the right competition. Including Dennis, Lookman and Ejike on SE list will bring out the best in our attacking threats..
Also, Moffi, Maja and Olayinka can bring out the best in our strikers.
ARIBO!ARIBO!ARIBO! I REALLY LIKE THIS GUY. WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE HIM IN OUR TEAM. A PLAYER THAT CAN PLAY IN ANY OF THE MF POSITION AND STILL BE EFFECTIVE. IF NOT FOR THE FACT THAT WE REALLY NEED HIM IN THE CREATIVE AND CENTRAL MF I WOULD HAVE SAID ROHR SHOULD PLAY HIM IN THAT POSITION CHUKWUEZE IS PLAYING SO WE CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE. I KNOW CHUKWUEZE IS VERY QUICK AND SHARP BUT HIS PRESENCE HASN’T GIVEN US THE EFFECT WE DESIRE. ALL THE SAME ARIBO IS NEEDED IN THE CREATIVE MF AND HE IS DELIVERING REGULARLY. EJUKE IS THE MAN FOR THE LMF WITH EITHER KALU ON THE RIGHT OR PLAY WITH A TWO MAN ATTACK COMPRISING OSIMHEN AND IHEANACHO WHILE ENSURING WE HAVE AN OVERLAPPING RIGHT FULL BACK THAT CAN DELIVER GOOD CROSSES. THATS MY TAKE ON THAT
@sportsfan… you are a good analyst… but here’s my problem with your views on aribo – “ROHR SHOULD PLAY HIM IN THAT POSITION CHUKWUEZE IS PLAYING SO WE CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE”. one bad game against Algeria in a friendly and you already want chukwueze to leave. have you forgotten afcon and his man of the match performance? even against Ukraine and Brazil he did well alongside kalu (for Ukraine). even Rohr attested that the way kalu and chukwueze played against Ukraine is the way he wants his wingers to be playing
and finally, etebo… have you forgotten the match against Croatia where he had 9 successful dribbles and also became SE man of the match? by the end of world cup, he and ndidi were tagged Nigeria best players in the outing! aribo have the quality no doubt, but to be benching etebo who have two seasons of experience at championship, where he won his team best player of the year, and even la liga.
I understand if you are a personal fan of aribo, as I am a personal fan of kelechi Iheanacho, then no big deal.
Super Eagles all the best!
No one is saying chukwueze should leave! The issue I think most of us have with chukwueze is too much hype and expectation was placed on his shoulders. People called him the Nigerian Robben and we all expected him to live up to that name. Yes he has had some great games in the past for the Super Eagles but we are talking of the present and furure. Even osimhen complained of carrying the goal scoring responsibilities on himself because the rest of the team weren’t scoring and the wingers are the closest he has as support. So its not out of place to expect a bit more from chukzy. Since he already has the skillset it shouldn’t take him much to add more goals to his game. Another thing we should also watch out for is complacency. Some players may feel because they are always the coaches first pick, that they can come on play to the gallery or be selfish with the ball or not worry about improving their game. Thats why competition for each position is vital. It puts every player on their toes when they know someone is gunning for their position. And thats why I suggested (if it was possible) to play Aribo in that position so that chukwueze can sit up and put in more effort into his game.
That’s all
The super eagles need the services of this young talented boy called: Michael Akpovie Olise in our creative spark.
With all I have seen with this boy, Olise is worth fighting to cap before the English and the French nations attempt towards changing his mind against switching an allegiance to Nigeria.
https://youtu.be/QTxeJhjgK7Y
Hmmm Michael olise. A skillful player, good ball passer, an Aribo-like player. Only difference is Aribo is the real deal and this kid is just coming up. Is he ready for the Super eagles? I don’t think so. Might do well with the youth teams of Nigeria u20, u23.
He might turn out to be a quality player like Aribo in a few years if he works on his game.
The person that should be taking for mental test is saying someone should go for test. How on heart will an ordinary senseless online coach will be dictating to a professional coach on who to invite to his team just because those players are your favorite mtchheww. So if u were d coach you will invite Ideye to super eagles at this moment? Why not go and brink Obafemi Martins or Taiye Taiwo.Rubish, they sha want to talk even if it is nonsense they will spew out at the end of the day.
