Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukuweze was on target but ended on the losing side as Villarreal went down to a 3-1 defeat to Celta Vigo in their Spanish LaLiga clash on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.
The goal was Chukuweze’s first in six LaLiga games for Villarreal.
The 20-year-old cancelled out Pione Sisto’s opening goal in the 59th minute after he was set up by Xavi Quintilla.
He has now scored three goals in 13 league appearances for the Yellow Submarines this season.
In Italy, William Troost-Ekong saw action for 90 minutes in Udinese’s 2-1 away defeat to Sampdoria.
It was Troost-Ekong’s 11th league appearance of the campaign for Udinese.
In the Dutch Eredivisie, Chidera Ejuke bagged an assist in Heerenveen 2-1 away defeat to PSV Eindoven.
Ejuke laid the pass for Jens Odgaard’s goal in the 55th minute.
