Aminu Balele Kurfi, a member of the NFF Technical and Development Sub- Committee, has posited that the Super Eagles must get a good result against seven times winners Egypt in their first AFCON 2021 Group D match on Tuesday as a signal of its ambition to win the title in Cameroun, Completesports.com reports.
Kurfi, who is also the chairman of Katsina State Football Association, said that all that the Super Eagles need to do to win the AFCON is to remain focused and be united all through the tournament.
“Egypt will be tough, but I don’t see them beating the Super Eagles. Worse case scenario is we get a draw. Super Eagles must show the world that they have what it takes to win the AFCON 2021 by playing the Pharaohs hands down and get a result, Kurfi told Completesports.com.
“We know they have Mohammed Salah, but we also have some young and talented players like Sadiq Umar, Awoniyi, Ndidi and a host of others who can score goals that will give us victory. They should worry about how to stop our attackers. Eagles should make them realize that Salah alone cannot make a forest,” the former chairman of Katsina United FC stated.

Kurfi added : “the Eagles will be at home in Garoua because the place is inhabited mostly by Nigerians and we have been mobilizing our people in that country to come and give our team all the support required to qualify from the group as winners and remain there for the knock-out stage”
Aminu Balele Kurfi also expressed confidence in the ability of the Super Eagles’ technical crew led by Augustine Eguavoen to steer the team to victory, adding that with his assistants, they can inspire the Eagles to win the fourth AFCON title for Nigeria.

Yes ooooo
Egypt can beat us. Nigeria can beat Egypt. It’s going to be a very interesting match. Algeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana Vs Nigeria are matches that will entertain us. No country prepared. Most of the African players are in Europe. Except for the North African countries, who have more homemade players, we all have the same problem. It’s the country that have more regular club Play time players that are advantageous. So no fear.
Well said Aminu Balele Kurfi, you have spoken the minds of Nigerians. The fact that Super Eagles need good result against Egypt to fight for Afcon 2021 title is something we all cherished. Regardless Oga, you people at NFF should endeavour to give more time for planning and preparations for football programmes. This is the very reason I advised members of the NFF to understudy the Belgium Blueprints, the very reason why Belgium is atop of FIFA ranking till date. Good luck to our ‘Eagles.
I wish the SE good luck in Cameroon. @Pius Obemhen, I read your piece severally and decided to have a look in, the Belgium Blueprint happen to be one of the greatest achievements in the World of soccer, I also hope our football administrators would see the importance of using time wisely and for the needed results. Just how on earth did one of the smaller countries assemble the top-ranked team in the most popular game of Football to dominate bigger countries is worth any effort. It was purely a local effort by domestic Belgian coaches led by Michel Sablon, they came together and changed the story for good.
There’s a video of Iheanacho and I think onyekuru getting physical. Any confirmation of this? I just saw it on instagram
If it’s Iheanacho and omeruo I guess, that’s world cup qualifier our last match after they finished with sex party, nonsense.
It’s banter. They having fun.
There is nothing special about egypt.!!
