Marwan Mohsen scored a World-Class goal as Egypt defeated Naby Keita’s Guinea 3-1 in their final friendly preparation ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
The game started with a bang, as Marwan Mohsen snatched an early lead for the Pharaohs just 11 minutes into the game. The Al Ahly striker converted Abdallah El-Said’s clever nutmeg pass with an astonishing first touch long range effort that left Aly Keita helpless in goal.
Three minutes ahead of the break, Baher Elmohamady nearly scored the equaliser for Guinea, as he headed Mohammed Yattara’s cross towards his own net, however, Mohamed El-Shennawy saved Brilliantly to keep the one nil lead into halftime.
Mahmoud ‘Trezeguet’ nearly doubled the lead for Egypt in the 56th minute, after he dribbled skillfully past Guinea’s backline, however, his shot missed the target from a very close range.
Just eight minute later, Sory Kaba capitalized on Omar Gaber’s misplaced back-pass, as slotted the ball into the bottom corner to level thing up for the visitors.
In the 78th minute, Gaber released Mohamed Salah with a defense splitting through pass. The Egyptian King went past Keita with a clever feint, however his low shot hit the post to reach Ahmed Ali who finished calmly from the rebound.
In the dying moments of the game, Gaber turned from villain to hero when he received Salah’s pass up the right flank before smashing the ball past Keita, making it 3-1.
