Darren Eadie feels Norwich can take advantage of being an “unknown quantity” to the majority of Premier League teams this season.
The Canaries won the Championship title last term to secure a return to the top flight and boss Daniel Farke has already added to his squad, while also rewarding the likes of Teemu Pukki, Emi Buendia and Christoph Zimmermann with new contracts.
Farke is entering his first season as a Premier League manager, while many of the Norwich squad have never played in the division before. Former Canaries midfielder Eadie, who made over 200 appearances during his time at Carrow Road, believes that lack of experience could actually work in Norwich’s favour, as their opposition won’t know what to expect.
“It could be a bit of a blessing that not many of them have played in the Premier League, so they can go into it with no fear and I think that will be a good thing, particularly at the start of the season,”
Eadie said. “They (other teams) won’t know too much about your players, whereas I could look at any other Premier League team and tell you how they are going to play, what their strengths are. Norwich, though, will be a bit of an unknown quantity.”
Norwich face a baptism of fire upon their return to the Premier League, as their opening fixture is a clash with Liverpool at Anfield on August 9.
