Sean Dyche is positive the injury Johann Berg Gudmundsson suffered on international duty won’t keep him out of the game against Wolves. Since his return to Burnley, the former Charlton man has been checked over by the Clarets’ medical staff and Dyche revealed at his pre-match press conference that Gudmundsson had taken part in training with the rest of the squad on Thursday.
Having made 31 appearances for Burnley this season, the news Gudmundsson should be available to face Wolves on Saturday will be a big boost to Dyche as he prepares for his 300th game in charge of the Turf Moor outfit. Burnley look to have escaped picking up any injuries over the international break with Jeff Hendrick and Robbie Brady returning unscathed from their efforts for the Republic of Ireland.
