Burnley manager Sean Dyche says he doesn’t know how long Peter Crouch will be sidelined for after undergoing surgery.
Former England international Crouch arrived at Turf Moor from Championship outfit Stoke City in January on a deal until the end of the season and there are suggestions he could call time on his career when the campaign finishes.
The 38-year-old has only made five substitute appearances for the Clarets and he was forced to miss the 2-0 victory over Wolves last time out after undergoing an appendix operation.

Dyche has now confirmed the striker will be absent for the trip to Bournemouth on Saturday and the manager is unsure when the Englishman will return to first-team action.
“We’ll find out more off the specialist, but they’re reasonably happy so far,” he told the club’s official website. “On the one hand they say an appendix doesn’t do a lot, but when it flares up you’ve got to be careful with it and we’ll have to wait on a specialist view.”
