Calvin Bassey is expected to make his debut for Ajax against PSV Eindhoven on Saturday after his work permit finally came through, reports Completesports.com.
Ajax Amsterdam will battle rivals PSV Eindhoven for the Johan Cruyff Shield on Saturday.
Bassey recently linked up with the former European champions from Scottish Premiership giants Glasgow Rangers on a five-year contract.
The Nigerian international came in as direct replacement for Argentina international Lisandro Martinez, who has moved to Manchester United.

Bassey missed the team’s last pre-season game against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday because of paperwork.
“Yes he will be included in the selection,” Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder told a press conference on Saturday.
In the meantime, Ajax skipper Dusan Tadic has described Bassey as a “beast” on account of the robust power he has displayed in training.
The Johan Cruyff Shield usually ushers in the new season in the Netherlands.
