Brighton’s Shane Duffy has described his central defensive partnership with Lewis Dunk as “so natural”. The pair were vital to the Seagulls’ promotion from the Championship in 2017 and have become the bedrock of their two seasons in the Premier League.
Republic of Ireland star Shane Duffy has seen his partner in crime Dunk also earn international recognition from England, with the 27-year-old being capped in November 2017. The pair have grown as a combination over the last couple of seasons and the former Blackburn man says he is enjoying the challenge alongside his club’s captain.

“Playing alongside Dunky is just so natural now as we’ve been partners on the pitch for a lot of games, but credit also has to go down to the full-backs, the keeper and everyone in the team, who do a lot to help protect us,” he told the club’s website.
“As a partnership, we’re always trying to improve; we’re two years older now, we’re more experienced and with more games against the top players, which helps. “I always enjoy testing myself against the top players and if you can get a result against them it makes it more special.”
