D’Tigress of Nigeria has moved up seven places in the latest International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Women’s Rankings.
FIBA released the new ranking on their official website on Wednesday night.
Rena Wakama’s side rose from 18th to 11th place with 528.9 points.

The Nigeria women’s basketball team rise was as a result of their impressive performance at the 2023 AfroBasket Championship.
The D’Tigress secured their fourth consecutive title at the competition.
They defeated their fellow West Africans Senegal in a pulsating final.
Mali and Senegal are the other African teams in the top 20.
