Jadon Sancho can go on to become one of the world’s best players, according to Borussia Dortmund teammate Paco Alcacer. The young Englishman was a revelation last season when firing home 12 goals and laying on another 14 assists – form which led to strong interest from the likes of Manchester United.
BVB managed to keep hold of the teenager and Sancho has started the season strongly again with two goals and four assists in the opening three league games of the season.
Alcacer has been impressed and believes his teammate can go on to great things in his career. “He’s a kid, 19 years old, with great quality. If he keeps his head, he will be a top player,” Alcacer told Sport.
“There’s uncertainty at that age, but as a player and a person in the dressing room, he’s top. “If he improves and picks up other qualities, he will be one of the best in the world.”
Meanwhile, Alcacer is also enjoying life with Dortmund after making the switch from Barcelona, and chipped in with 18 goals last season. “It’s a question of confidence and feeling comfortable on the pitch,” he said. “Minutes are important. The treatment from my teammates, having an understanding with them, that’s also key.”
