Falconets duo, Opeyemi Ajakaye and Esther Onyenedezie have secured a permanent transfer to Spanish Iberdola outfit, Madrid CFF.
The two players linked up with Madrid CFF from Nigeria Women’s Football League outfit, Robo Queens.
Ajakaye featured prominently for the Nigeria U-17 Women’s side, that won bronze at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2023.
Forward Ajakaye won the Player of the Match award thrice in the competition.
The 18-year-old is currently a key member of the Falconets squad.
Midfielder Onyenedezie caught the eye at the last year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup finals in Costa Rica.
The 20-year-old scored three goals in the competition as the Falconets reached the quarter-finals.
She has already represented Nigeria at the senior level.

Fantastic.
I have always hoped these 2, alongside Afolabi would end up in Spain where their skills will be refined.
I hope it comes to pass.
Imagine a midfield trident of Deborah Abiodun (Anchor), Taiwo Afobali (deep lying playmaker) and Esther Onyenezide (Trequatisa), with the pace and power of Ajakaiye upfront…..so much tactical flexibility in the offing….ofcourse surrounded with the addition of older experienced folks Monday, Kanu, Payne and the rest.
Good progress in their career
