Cyriel Dessers will undergo scan this week to determine the severity of the injury he sustained in Rangers’ Scottish Cup final defeat against Celtic.
Dessers was withdrawn at half-time of the encounter played at the Hampden Park after sustaining an ankle injury.
The Nigeria international left the stadium wearing a protective mask on the right leg.
It is expected that the Feyenoord striker will miss the start of next season due to the setback.

“I got injured in the first half, after around 25 minutes, it’s my ankle,” Dessers was quoted by Glasgow World.
“I tried to go on because obviously it was the game of the year, the big final at the end of the season, one big push. But I had to come off. I’ll get it assessed in the next few days.”
The 29-year-old arrived Ibrox from Italian club Cremonese last summer.
He managed 22 goals across all competitions for Philippe Clement’s side this season.
