Emmanuel Dennis is determined to emulate former Nigeria international Yakubu Aiyegbeni at Blackburn Rovers.
Dennis completed his loan move to the Blue and White from Nottingham Forest on deadline day.
The 27-year-old is the fourth Nigerian to play for Rovers following in the footsteps of Aiyegbeni, Dickson Etuhu and Hope Akpan.

Aiyegbeni played for Blackburn in the 2011/22 season, netting 17 times in 30 league appearances.
“Yakubu played here and growing up, I watched him play. It is a club I am very familiar with from growing up in Nigeria. I was really pleased they wanted me, I wanted to come,” Dennis told Rovers TV.
“He scored a lot of goals, so many! Yakubu is really big in Nigeria and African football. His contribution, playing in the Premier League, what a guy! He inspired me in some ways because I watched games and he was a really good player.”
The forward made his debut for John Eustace’s side in the Emirates FA Cup defeat to Wolves on Sunday.
