Emmanuel Dennis ended his goal drought but it was not enough as relegation threatened Watford lost 2-1 to Brentford at Vicarage Road in Saturday’s Premier League game.
Going into Saturday’s game, Dennis last goal was on February 19 when his strike earned Watford a 1-0 win at Aston Villa.
His Nigerian teammate Oghenekaro Etebo was benched for the game which saw Watford suffer their third straight defeat.
The goal was Dennis’ 10th for Watford in his debut season in the English topflight.

As compiled by the Portuguese coach pacessiro in an online news . And he said he wil never invite a player that is not playing up to 60 mins in his club .main reason dey lost to a make shift Ghana team he said.
Chi so some players are out already.
No wonder they are tired in the 2 ND half.
@Olu… man! Is like this Poseiro man is a grand commando o… Lol. Most of the overhype players will be out… Imagine Olayinka and Awoniyi snubbed! We just dont deserve to be at the world cup…
Hmmm….
The man should better adjust it to 50 mins or else, Na 10 to 15 players him go dey invite to camp
My take on this is that he’s telling us how technically incompetent he is. Do they train in their clubs? If yes, they are fit enough to play. A player who is not used regularly always trains vigorously to see if he will be started, or if the preferred player is injured the stand by player sometimes siezes that opportunity to make that position his own.
How many National team players around the world are regular starters in their club? I’m talking about the whole players in any given National team. How regular is Jesus playing this season in Man. City? But he leads the Brazilian attack. We failed because the bunch of coaches that lead us are technically below average. They learned nothing from the loss to Tunisia, nothing from the first leg in Kumasi. They showed this by the result in Abuja. So Pacessiro, by your statement you are showing us your level, which might not be what we want.
Kill Bill, training is not the same as playing because you are match rusty from not playing.
You get.
Statistics don’t win you matches. During Westerhof years, the team must play a friendly game with a local club the Thursday before the Saturday game. Some Pros are decamped before match day. That was the secret of the 94 team. The competition to make match day squad was really tough. Not now that ….
But for 6 years we played a style of football where we hardly kept possession in the opponents half for prolong periods. Rather backward- sideways passes held sway.
