Watford winger Emmanuel Dennis has been named in the Premier League Team of the Week by statistics website Who scored.com.
The Nigeria international enjoyed a perfect debut for the Hornets scoring and grabbing an assist in the 3-2 win against Aston Villa at the Vicarage Road on Saturday.
“The third Premier League debutant to feature in the first team of the week of the season, Emmanuel Dennis played a key role in Watford’s 3-2 win over Aston Villa on Saturday. Dennis scored his first goal in English football with just 10 minutes on the clock and turned provider three minutes before the break for Ismaila Sarr, those coming from five shots and three key passes, respectively. The 23-year-old linked up with the London club from Belgian Pro League champions Club Brugge this summer.
Brentford’s David Raya got the nod as the best goalkeeper for the opening week , with Trevoh Chalobah, Sergi Canos, Shane Duffy and Marcos Alonso the four defenders on the TOTW.
Manchester United duo Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba are joined in midfield by West Ham United’s Thomas Soucek.
Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah and Mason Greenwood of Manchester United are selected upfront with Dennis.
