Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Dennis has revealed that former Arsenal star, Emmanuel Adebayor played a key role in his decision to join Turkish Super Lig club, Istanbul Basaksehir from Nottingham Forest.
Recall that the Nigerian international on Friday penned a season long loan deal with Basaksehir, with no buy option included the deal.
In a chat with the club’s official website, Dennis stated that he is delighted signing for Basaksehir and recall how Adebayor convinced him to join the team.
“My first encounter with Başakşehir was when Club Brugge played against them in qualification for the Champions League,” Dennis told the club’s official website.

“My big brother, Emmanuel Adebayor, played the game as well, so we had a conversation after the game and he invited me later to Istanbul.
“I met him here, we relaxed, went to his house together, spent the whole day together. He told me a few things about the club.
“It was just in my head and then recently I received a message from my agent that the club were interested in me.
“I said it’s a nice place, I’m familiar with them because I’ve been to the stadium, I have played against them, I’ve had few friends who played here, they always tell me good stories about the people, the club, so I decided to come here.”

Adebayor’s advice based on past glory took you to a now struggling team in Turkey from Epl. SMH Dennis I hope you turn a new leaf and avoid the proud look because nobody is thinking about you, even when you’re performing. Talent wise you’re great but attitude and attention is killing your destiny. Please help yourself henceforth because age is still on your side!!!
Hopefully, there are enough psychiatrists in Istanbul to help Dennis set his career back on course.
