Rafa Benitez could become Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis’ manager at struggling Nottingham Forest.
According to The Telegraph, Forest are lining up Benitez to replace current manager Steve Cooper following Monday night’s 4-0 defeat to Leicester.
The defeat leaves Forest bottom in the league table with just one win this term.
Forest appointed former Magpies director Lee Charnley into an advisory role in the summer.
He still holds a strong relationship with Benitez and Forest could now be considering a change.
Forest were second best throughout the heavy defeat to Leicester who recorded their first win of the season.

Benitez has been out of work since leaving Everton in January after just over six months at Goodison Park.
The former Liverpool manager spent over three years at Newcastle and left with a win percentage of close to 43%.
He won 62 of his 146 matches in charge of the football club before leaving in June 2019.
Benitez does have a track record of winning things in the world of football and would arrive with quite a CV.
He’s won two La Liga titles, the Champions League with Liverpool and the Europa League during his time at Valencia and Chelsea.
