Nigeria international Fisayo Dele-Bashiru arrived Rome on Friday night ahead of his Lazio medical.
Dele-Bashiru was pictured at the airport on arrival and will undergo tests on Saturday (today).
The 23-year-old is expected to sign his contract once the medical is completed.
The midfielder moved to Turkish Super Lig outfit Hatayspor as a free agent last summer after severing ties with Sheffield Wednesday.
The Manchester City academy graduate scored nine goals and provided six assists in 39 appearances across all competitions for Hatayspor last season.
Dele-Bashiru will join Lazio on loan for €2m
with obligation to buy at the end of the season for a further €4m.
That allows the Biancocelesti to pay less than the €7m release clause in his Hatayspor contract.

Finally, the good news is here! Done and dusted!
This is indeed a cheering news for Nigeria football.
Welcome to Serie A, Dele-Bashiru! I hope you bring your A-game and follow in the footsteps of Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, the Nigeria contingents in the Italian serie A.
His recent performance for the Super Eagles indicates he has a future with the Super Eagles and there’s no better time for him to evolve and secure his place in the senior national team midfield than now when the team is shopping for midfield players to shore up the team’s midfield. His goal and impressive displays in the 1-1 draw against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa are heartwarming, and we look forward to him pushing harder for a spot in the competitive Super Eagles midfield.
Good News For Fans is not exactly Good News for NFF. The Player is now Marked. He will now be Regarded as someone who thinks he is bigger than Class of 94 set. They don’t like our Current Generation doing better than them ooo…Lol!
Congrats lad.. Keep shooting high.
Congratulations FDB. I have been reading all the football outlets expecting to read this news all weeks. Glad we finally have have more option in the attacking midfield
