Troy Deeney is set to return to the Watford starting line-up for Wednesday’s Premier League trip to Bournemouth.
The Hornets skipper was one of six key players, including goal hero Abdoulaye Doucoure, to start Saturday’s 1-1 home draw against Newcastle on the substitutes’ bench, with boss Javi Gracia rotating his squad because of the hectic schedule of fixtures over the festive period.

However, both Deeney and Doucoure look set to get the nod from the start at the Vitality Stadium as the Hornets look to return to winning ways against the Cherries.
When asked if he will be making more changes on Wednesday, Gracia said: “I don’t know how many. “But some changes we have to do for sure. I’m very happy with the players I have in the squad in this moment. With all of them.”
The fitness of Christian Kabasele will be assessed as he did not feature against Newcastle after a collision with the frame of the goal in the Boxing Day match against Chelsea.
Andre Gray, Sebastian Prodl and Adalberto Penaranda look set to miss out again with respective leg, knee and foot injuries.
