Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson believes Antonio Conte has what it takes to excel at Tottenham.
The Italian coach, who has won league titles at Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan, took the Spurs job on Tuesday to replace Nuno Espirito Santo.
Henderson, whose side are preparing for a Champions League group stage game against Atletico Madrid, was asked by reporters during a pre-match press conference about Conte’s appointment.
He said: He’s a huge manager in world football with what he has achieved in the game.
“To come to the Premier League, I’m sure he’ll make his mark on the Spurs squad and make them compete at the highest level.
“He’ll be trying to go in there and do that straight away.
“I’m sure he’ll have a big impact and, like you said, it’s another big manager in the Premier League.”
