Coach of the Spanish national team Luis de la Fuente believes that his squad have what it takes to win the Euro 2024 tournament.
La Furia Roja (the Red Fury) have already clinched a place at the Euro 2024 tournament as they have 15 points after six matches in the qualifying series.
They play Cyprus away on Thursday, November 16 at the Alphamega Stadium and they will host Georgia in another Group A encounter at the Jose Zorilla Stadium.
Speaking in the news conference, De la Fuente said he believes Portugal, Germany, France, England are amongst the favourites to win the Euros.

” France, England, Germany, Portugal, Italy,” marca.com quoted de la Fuente as saying.
“We always have the same ones, but then there are surprises. Croatia always performs well in competitions. In the national teams it is very even, they all have eleven good players.
“In the medium term, which will be the next European Championship. We have to be mature to be able to compete at the highest level. We are in a position to fight to win. There are a lot of teams at the same level as us. We have the idea of fighting to win, then winning depends on a lot of details that take you to one place or the other.”
Italy are the current Champions of the Euros after lifting the trophy at the Euro 2020 competition.
The Spanish team reached the semi-final of Euro 2020 where they were beaten 4-2 by the Italians on penalties after a 1-1 draw at fulltime on July 6 2021 at the Wembley Stadium.
Spain have won the Euros three times (Spain 1964, Austria/Switzerland 2008 and Poland/Ukraine 2012).
The Luis de la Fuente led team have a record of five wins and one defeat in Group A of Euro 2024 qualifiers and they are first in the Group.
