Leicester City assistant manager Curtis Davies has heaped plaudits on Kelechi Iheanacho after the forward bagged a goal in Tuesday night Carabao Cup fourth-round win against Burton Albion, reports Completesports.com.
Iheanacho was handed a rare start in the Foxes 3-1 win against their hosts at the Pirelli Stadium and he
marked it with a goal, turning in Tielemans’ cross inside seven minutes, and looked really sharp in possession.
Following Iheanacho’s contribution, he has now been directly involved in nine goals (six goals and three assists) across his 12 EFL Cup appearances for Leicester and Manchester City combined.
Interestingly, his two goals this term have both come in the competition – having found the net against Luton Town in September.
“He trains well every day,” said Davies in his assessment of Iheanacho’s performance.
“He’s scoring goals in training, he’s playing well and is focused.
“He’s trying to develop his game as much as he can through the training, having less game-time. He’s been a pleasure to work with.
“All he can do is come in and be ready. Through his training and through his focus, he’s come in and got a goal. That’s credit to his mentality. I was really pleased with his performance.
“Towards the end he was fatigued because he’s not played a lot and has not started a game for a long time.
“It was great for Kels to get a goal.”

Kelechi Iheanacho, plz ignore those praises, it’s targeted at destroying your career. It’s obvious Brendan Rodgers doesn’t fancy you in his squad. So, you have to leave Leicester City as soon as possible either on loan or on permanent basis.
My brother, your career is dipping on daily basis and now is the moment of truth. It’s time to question yourself on d real cause of your predicament and fashion out a way to resolve it.
Truly, I believe all hope is not lost for you but a little more waste of time in reviving your career may not b good.
“It was great for Kels to get a goal”, and it is greater for Kels to get his butt outta Leceister in January!!!
Why is the white man so vindictive? Make a small error, and they’ll mark you for life. Why heap praises on someone who’s striving to improve, and at the same time deny him the opportunity to perform?
The whole scenario surrounding our Kele is weird, weird beyond comprehension. Hope he gropes his way out of Leicester in the next transfer season.
