Maduka okoye conceded 4 goals yesterday against feyenord ,2 goals in 11 minutes,it would have been up to 10 had it been they got those balls on target.big up to Mendy gabaski ,not forgetting Sierra Leone and Gambia goal keepers .I really envy countries that have keepers
33 year old Gabaski was a goal keeping nonentity at Maduka’s age.
29 year old Mendy was a goalkeeping nonentity at Maduka’s age.
Maduka at 22 is already an established guaranteed 1st choice GK for his Dutch 1st division club, league GK of the season and most expensive Nigerian GK of all time and has 8 clean sheets in 16 international caps.
Tell us what your Gabaski and Mendy had achieved at the age of 22….I guess they have never conceded 4 goals in their careers before.
Let us leave okoye to recover please. That guy is suffering from emotional trauma of afcon loss. Being part of the arrow head of why we unexpectedly lost that game to Tunisia is killing His moral.
I think we have blamed Him enough, He had received enough backlash and even death threat, I believe We must now concentrate on how to suggest other goal keeper to the gafer if we can’t continue with caliber of the keepers that we have.
For me I put uzoho and okoye in the same shoe they both have many area of weakness and I believe we seriously should scout very wide and move on from okoye performance.
One of the players Africans missed in Cameroon. Good luck Ighalo, your SE jersey is waiting for you.
Garry, had Odion made it to Afcon21, chai!
@Friday, it tells you we just lost the golden boot to Aboubacar. Odion is the only player who can score in any club, first game, goal no1.
