Nigeria’s U-19 cricket team has secured a spot in the ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup in Malaysia 2025.
The team achieved the feat at the weekend in Kigali, Rwanda, after going unscathed in their qualifying campaign.
Nigeria’s girls defeated Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Malawi in the group games, setting up a pulsating encounter against host country Rwanda in the semi-finals.

Breeding through the fixture with brilliance and determination, Nigeria was faced once more with Test-playing nation Zimbabwe in the final to decide the only qualification slot for the World Cup.
For the World Cup proper, Nigeria has been drawn in Group C alongside New Zealand, South Africa, and Samoa.
The Junior Female Yellow Greens are expected to return to the country on Tuesday, 1st of October 2024.
