Joe Aribo and his Rangers teammates have agreed to defer their wages by 50 per cent for the next three months.
SunSport Online can reveal Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard and his coaching staff will also sign the same cost-cutting deal.
Gers players opened talks with officials who are battling to cope with the financial implications of the Coronavirus crisis like every other club in the country.
It’s understood the first-team stars made the first approach in a move to prevent potential wage cuts to behind-the-scenes staff.

Gerrard also became involved in talks with the Ibrox gaffer not hesitating in deferring his own salary.
And an agreement has now been struck which will see him and his entire squad give up half their salary until July.
They will not face cuts with their money they’re owed paid to them over time.
It’s similar to the way Hibs have struck a deal with their Easter Road stars – with Rangers players eager to help out during the current global health crisis.
