Maduka Okoye was rested in Udinese’s 3-1 win against Serie B club Salernitana, in the Coppa Italia round of 32 home game on Wednesday.
Okoye was on the bench in the game which saw Simeon Nwankwo get Salernitana’s goal.
It was Nwankwo’s third goal in all competitions for Salernitana this season.
Salernitana have now gone four straight games without a win (three defeats, one draw).
Jakal Bijol gave Udinese the lead in the 20th minute but just five minutes later Nwankwo equalised for Salernitana.
With one minute left in the first half Lorenzo Lucca made it 2-1 to Udinese after scoring from the penalty spot.
In the 47th minute Jurgen Ekkelenkamp made it 3-1 to the home team.
Okoye should be back in goal for Udinese when they host league champions Inter Milan on Saturday.
