AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso says the club have offered Hakan Calhanoglu an extension to his current deal.
Turkey international Calhanoglu joined the Rossoneri from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2017 and he has been an important first-team member, making 55 Serie A appearances, scoring seven goals.
Recent reports have linked a number of top European clubs with an offer for the 25-year-old but Milan are hoping they can persuade the attacking midfielder to extend his stay at the San Siro.

When asked about Calhanoglu’s future in Italy, Gattuso revealed there is an offer on the table and it is down to the player as to whether he wants to put pen-to-paper on a new deal. “His contract renewal? The club put forward a proposal, now we will see what his decision is but these are issues handled by Leonardo and Maldini,” he said at a press conference. “He took part in the first training session today: he should be available next week.”
