Following the rather disheartening 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Fiorentina, Juventus coach Thiago Motta has been given the nod by sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli to remain at the helm. During a meeting on Monday, attended by both Giuntoli and Juventus’ CEO Gianluca Scanavino, the club expressed its ongoing confidence in Motta. The challenge set before him is clear: he must galvanise the team to recover both their results and overall performance.
What the side is in dire need of now is to re-establish that psychological balance, which has been sorely lacking since their early exits from the cup competitions and those heavy defeats against Fiorentina and Atalanta.
