“We firmly believe we’ll come through this challenging spell together, certainly with Thiago Motta at the helm,” asserted Cristiano Giuntoli, the managing director of Juventus, as he spoke to Sky Sport following the team's disheartening 3-0 defeat away to Fiorentina. This loss came on the heels of a heavy 4-0 home setback against Atalanta. Giuntoli assured supporters that these results do not endanger Motta’s position.
“What’s our primary goal? Gaining a Champions League berth,” he stated. “In difficult times, we must rally as one. It’s essential that we navigate these tough periods united.” Reflecting on the club's mood, Giuntoli added, “Of course, we’re disappointed. It's been a season of ups and downs, and experiencing two such defeats in succession is uncharacteristic for us, but we’re determined to emerge from this as a cohesive unit.”
Giuntoli went on to outline Juventus’ ambitions: “We’ve been revitalising our squad for some time now. We anticipated challenges along the way. Our sole focus has to be on our primary aim: qualifying for the Champions League.”
How will Juventus tackle their issues? “We’ll be focusing on what needs fixing. In these tough moments, it’s imperative to find equilibrium on the pitch. We’ve conceded seven goals in our past two matches. Restoring our psychological and tactical balance is crucial.”
