In the month of October 2021, a lot of Nigerian footballers were outstanding for their various clubs, both in Europe and other parts of the world.

GOALKEEPER
Daniel Akpeyi (Kaizer Chiefs)
Daniel Akpeyi had a memorable month of October in action for South African heavyweights Kaizer Chiefs,
who are currently seven points from leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
Akpeyi helped Kaizer Chiefs to two wins and one draw, conceding just two goals in three games he played last month. And he deservedly earns his place in our Team Of The Month for October.
DEFENDERS
Kevin Akpoguma (Hoffenheim)
The Nigeria international was a super regular for his Bundesliga side, TSG Hoffenheim, appearing in all five of their games in October.
Aside from helping them to three wins (two defeats), Akpoguma provided an assist in the club’s DFB-Pokal win.
Leon Balogun (Rangers)
Rangers played six games in all competitions in October without suffering any defeat, and one of the reasons why they did so well was due to the impressive performance of Leon Balogun.
The Super Eagles centre-back not only helped Rangers pick up four wins and two draws, he was on target in the 2-0 home win against Brondby in the Europa League.
Semi Ajayi (West Brom)
Despite mixed results for West Bromwich Albion last month, Semi Ajayi started every game for the promotion-seeking club.

His commendable display saw the Baggies win two of their five games (three defeats) and are currently in third spot on the log.
Ola Aina (Torino)
The former Chelsea player was a regular in all the five games Torino played.
And out of the five games played, Aina helped Torino record two wins.
MIDFIELDERS
Victor Moses (Spartak Moscow)
Former Super Eagles star, Victor Moses, continued with his impressive individual showing for Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow, as they managed just one win, suffering two defeats and recording two draws in the month of October
He helped himself to an assist, which came in the Spartak’s 4-3 home loss to Leicester in the Europa League. For his consistent impressive individual performances, Moses earns a spot in the Completesports.com Team Of The Month for October 2021.
Chidera Ejuke (CSKA Moscow)
The 23-year-old continued his impressive performance from September into last Month for CSKA Moscow.
He marked October with two goals in the Russian Premier League which took his tally for the season to four.
Joe Aribo (Rangers)
Just like Leon Balogun, midfield star Joe Aribo, was a key player for Rangers who were unbeaten in the six fixtures they played in all competitions.
This has led to the Scottish champions maintaining top position in the league table.
FORWARDS
Odion Ighalo (Al Shabab)
Super Eagles returnee striker, Odion Ighalo, has continued to show that he still knows his way around the goal area, as evident in his resourcefulness for Saudi outfit, Al Shabab.
The former Manchester United forward netted four goals in four games, accounting for four of the 10 goals scored by Al Shabab in October. And he thus claims a place in this Completesports.com Nigeria Team Of The Month.
Victor Osimhen (Napoli)
Victor Osimhen played a significant role as Napoli went through last month without any defeat in all five games played.
Osimhen helped himself to two goals, one in the Serie A and one in the Europa League. He was also involved in the two penalties Napoli got in their 3-0 win against Bologna.
Taiwo Awoniyi (Union Berlin)
It was a very good month of October in terms of goals returns for Taiwo Awoniyi in the colours of Bundesliga side, Union Berlin.
The former Liverpool boy scored six goals in all competitions in October, with four of the goals coming from Bundesliga games.
