Super Eagles defender Jamilu Collins is in line to make his first appearance for the side at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Saturday’s Round of 16 encounter against defending champions Cameroon, reports Completesports.com.
Collins picked up an injury in training on the eve of Nigeria’s first Group B game against Burundi and did not feature in the Gernot Rohr’s team’s three group games.
The SC Paderborn of Germany defender has since return to full training with the rest of the squad and is expected to make the starting line-up against the Indomitable Lions.
Collins’ return may force head coach Gernot Rohr to tweak his line-up in the defence for the game.
His availability may see Torino defender, Ola Aina who occupied the left-back in his absence move to right-back position.
The Super Eagles finished in second position in Group B following their shocking 2-0 loss to Madagascar last Sunday.
The Nigeria, Cameroon clash on Saturday will started 5pm Nigerian time.
