The attacker was immediately quarantined and will be retested next week,”reads a tweet on the club’s official Twitter handle on Tuesday.

Wishing you qick recovery bro
Sébastien Osigwe in the line up to face inter Milan in a friends starting right now… Inter vs Fc Lugano..
But them don chop 5 already… Lol… Dem never grind beans yet o.. Lol
My brother dem really chop am….I would fault him for 2 of those 5 goals…
Lol… I think it’s put to bed the noise about him here that he’s better than akpeyi and ozoho. People don’t really understand the meaning of “time” in football. Forcing a player to perform before his “time” is destructive no matter how talented he is.
The grass is always greener on the other side my brother. Who nor go nor go know.
I’ve always said it here that there is no Nigerian goalkeeper anywhere in the world currently who can do better than those already in the national team at the moment. If there were any i would have let you guys know.
Afelokhai afelokai….afelokahi chop am back to back from togo home-based. Alampasu alampasu…..alampasu don get permanent seat for bench for latvia the way USA get permanent seat for UN security council. Okoye Okoye…..okoye set to be 2nd choice for Sparta Rotterdam this season unless a miracle happens. Maybe this will make critics appreciate it when Uzoho walks into Elche, Anorthosis or Omonia nicosia and immediately ties down a starting shirt…..or when Akpeyi walks into Kaizer chiefs and puts 3 national team goalkeepers on the bench for the entire season.
The funny thing is that most people dont even watch current matches to know the current state, form & status of players before coming here to drop their names. They just read about a player, watch his youtube clips and bam….he is better than everyone else currently in the national team. Whereas youtube clips will only show you the best moments of a player on the pitch…..no youtube clip of Osigwe will ever show clips of today’s match vs Inter. That is why one clown who calls himself a scout will be here dissing Rohr for not calling up fatai alashe (a striker who averages 2 goals and 5 yellow cards per season)…..LMAO
Stats and figures never lie. Any goalkeeper that will come into the SE now will start the learning curve all the way from where Uzoho began in 2017……and even make worse goalkeeping mistakes than Uzoho and Akpeyi have made so far….thats the learning curve for most young goalkeepers. Its looking more like Uzoho and the rest for the forseeable future…..unless something tragic happens.
Well dissected @drey
Please which 2 goals are you faulty him for. Saw the highlights and the goals he conceded, where was he at fault. None of the goals he conceded was his fault. Abeg free the guy, if Rorh doesn’t want him, it is not the end of the world. All the noise about stats and not watching game is that why some are ending up in mediocre clubs. Eg Musa who has yet to return to europe after all the noise that after Afcon clubs will come for him. And yet any player not playing in the Top 10 leagues in europe is not worthy of a call up to SE. Guess Henry is right that rorh already knows the players he wants in the national irrespective of the club you play for.
Lol, Oakfield. The 5 kondo notwithstanding, I think he did fairly well. His team’s defense was quite poor, even Buffon would have been in trouble if he had been in goal. Not a performance worthy of a national team invite, but he did show some potential. More hard work and focus needed.
Well said sir.
Lol @ pompei! You just hit the nail on the head there. “More hardwork and focus” and I’d add not being in so much in a rush to perform on the big stage. Let him patiently wait for his time to steal the show.
Quick recovery bro
With that shabby defense line of Lugano and Top class attack line of Lukaku, Lauro Martinez, Alexis Sanchez, Archaf Hakimi, Sensi in Midfield, Dalbert – I can bet my 6 Month salary on it that DANIEL AKPEYI will not only concede more than 5, He will concede 5 5 plus An own goal from his Errors due to his shaky nature.
Why not let OSIGWE play in front of a better defense line like we have in the Super Eagles and see if he will concede that much at all before casting him. A Goal Keeper that made the No 1 spot his own for years at SC Krien an brought them from 3rd/4th division to the 2nd division is no fluke sir. He deserves a chance in the Super Eagles!
Oga….save your 6 months salary. I’ve seen osigwe conceede 4 goals even in the swiss 2nd division. He doesnt carry magnets in his gloves. He is at best a decent goalie….decent enough for his level….and will have to learn the ropes if he is ever going to even get to the heights on being an International goalkeeper. The same shabby defence line was there when the substitute goal keeper came on and didnt conceede any goals against the same top class attackline that had Lukaku and co.
No need to shout Bros. Here’s the link to check how the match went, substitutions also. All the Defenders were changed second half and Lugano regulars came on. Foiled every attack made by the Inter attack and Vice versa too, Lukaku, Sensi, Sanchez, Dalbert and others were substituted in the second half for Inter Fringe players. Only notable addition was Lauro

Mr….you dont need to shout either.
I watched the match live on sky sports online….not on livescore.com, There’s no need to cook up baseless excuses. Lugano started with what would pass for their 1st team anyday, with the likes of Kecskes, Lavanchy, Macek, Sabattini, Gerndt, Lungoyi, Lovric – Infact the whole team that started vs Inter Milan played in the swiss cup match played last wednesday. Osigwe still kept up till 20th minute of the 2nd half before he was pulled out. The likes of Lukaku, Erickson, Perisic, Niangollan, Young all came in at the start of the 2nd half and they are good as those who started for Inter, yet the Sub goalie still managed to keep a clean sheet. Like I said, there’s no point making up excuses.
Stop “watching” football on livescore.com and stop arguing about things you didnt see or know.
You can’t tell me how I watch my matches Oga. Do you even know where I live? Cuz I posted LiveScore.com here doesn’t give you rights to speak what I don’t do. So please. Let’s just call it off there. Or you want to tell me you’re Omnipresent that sees all the matches going on in the whole world same time?? Smh
I dont give a damn where you live or whichever way you watch your matches, just dont argue about matches you did not watch. Because from your statement and cooked up excuses, its obvious you never watched the match before jumping in here to make unfounded comments. I might not be omnipresent, but I watch as many matches involving Nigerian players as available for me not to be deceived, neither do I argue or comment about things I do not know.
We all know ROHR in and out….
Once u are good ROHR cannot ignore u….
But when there’s some rough edges in ur game, Rohr hardly look ur way until u do better than the person in that position….
We’ve been crying for a save hand ever since ENYEAMA, IKEME left the national team, if this OSIGWE was that good and competent enough; oga ROHR world never want to risk his job and keep on inviting the likes of UZOHO, AKPEYI, EZENWA….
ROHR that i know want to creat a good record in our national team…
He would go extra miles to creat a good impression in the mines of nigerians by inviting u pple’s “world best” GK (OSIGWE)….
With this i think this young man is not better than the likes of UZOHO & Akpeyi….
I suspect some rough edges in his game….
I can’t see where anyone called Osigwe “World best” above except my eyes are not seeing well. You people should just stop twisting stories. We are adults Abeg.
My own is that players should be given a chance in the national team to prove themselves, no need judging them from a far, as far as the said player is playing for his club.
We can’t rely only on uzoho, Ezenwa and akpeyi.
Invite them and let we the fans be the judge simple!
Well the national team don’t work that way unfortunately. The team of coaches and scouts watch you from “afar”because there are that many footballers to see and the coaches can’t physically be there to see all of them.
Though in exceptional cases some players who shown and the coaches for some reasons are local where their games are played may decide to use the great opportunity to see them play live but that rarely happens.
Nigeria is a big country with many footballers in the diaspora and within.Inviting every promising player for the sake of seeing them at close range will be catastrophic and calamitous!
Dont mind them @ greenturf.
A player must be invited to the national team first for FANS to judge if they are better than the ones we have or not….Lolz….It is fans that select players for coaches…coaches dont have a brain of their own….LMAO. The Micheal Olise you were clamoring for, did you see him in the national team first before you were able to judge….??? LMAO
Maybe all the 450 Nigeria-eligible professional players in Europe must “…be given a chance in the national team to prove themselves, no need judging them from a far, as far as the said player is playing for his club…” Infact no need of even watching their video clips. As a coach once you just hear a player’s name just invite him…and then throw him into the pitch to give him a chance….LMAO
The national team is not a testing/trial ground, it is not a place for greenhorn newbies to prove themselves. It is for players who have already PROVEN to be good enough and shown enough consistency at their clubs. Prove yourself at club level to be better than those in the national team first and then you get a national team call-up. That is the way it is done globally…..not by name dropping.
If Ejuke is invited today, I have no fear, if Dennis is invited same, if Maja, Akpoguma, Udohkai etc no shaking…because we have SEEN THEM FROM AFAR time and again, consistently showing quality in their clubs
Wait for your turn to become SE coach, then you can declare an open day in the SE camp every matchday. LMAO
@Goal and @Ade am very hapy with you guys. Keep telling them the truth.
Wishing Okereke speedy recovery. I have always loved this guy.
