Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is on the wanted list of Burnley, who are hoping to clinch a £15m deal, reports have claimed.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan with Derby, impressing under the leadership of Frank Lampard, but it remains to be seen if he will figure in the plans of the new Chelsea boss.
Lampard has a list as long as his arm after being confirmed as the club’s new manager and deciding who is in his plans and who is surplus to requirements is high on it.
Lampard is likely to assess his squad during a pre-season trip to Ireland this week, and then a decision on the future of Tomori could be made.
The decision is further complicated as Chelsea are currently unable to sign new players because of the transfer ban, and Tomori could be needed.
However if he is up for grabs, reports are rife suggesting the Clarets will launch a £15million bid to try and get him on board.
