Manchester City youngster Brandon Barker may move to Celtic in the summer to continue his development. The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with Preston North End and made 20 appearances, though only nine of those came from the start.
His season was littered with injury problems; in particular he had hamstring trouble for most of the campaign. He has played for the City first team in their 5-1 FA Cup loss to Chelsea back in 2016, though on the day it was a heavily-altered City team fielded by then-manager, Manuel Pellegrini.
Rodgers Happy With Foxes Pressure
Despite his time on the pitch being limited, Barker is now reportedly wanted by Celtic, as Neil Lennon looks to shape his squad for next season. He has experience of playing in the Scottish Premiership after spending time with Hibs a couple of seasons ago, and Celtic now apparently want to take him on loan.
The Hoops have previous success with loaning and buying Manchester City youngsters, with Patrick Roberts having a very successful two-and-half year temporary switch, while Olivier Ntcham is also very decorated after his two years in Glasgow.
