Samuel Chukwueze has explained the reason behind his tough start at Serie A giants, AC Milan, reports Completesports.com.
Chukwueze endured a tough start to life at the former European champions last season following his arrival from LaLiga side Villarreal.
The Nigeria international started majority of AC Milan’s game from the bench with then manager Stefano Pioli preferring the duo of Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic ahead of him.

The winger confessed he was unable to convince Pioli after arriving the club close to the start of the season.
“I arrived late, at the end of July. It was a bit difficult to convince him (Pioli); the player in my position was scoring goals,” Chukwueze was quoted by Football Italia.
“I had a good relationship with Pioli; he’s a fantastic guy and a great coach.”
Chukwueze registered one goal and three assists in 24 appearances for AC Milan last season.
