Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has been listed among the 50 rising stars to blossom in future by European football governing body, UEFA, reports Completesports.com.
The list according to a report on the UEFA website, was compiled by a team of selected reporters across Europe.
“Precocious winger with UEFA Europa League experience; the Nigeria Football Federation’s young player of the year for 2017/18,” reads the report about Chukwueze on the UEFA website.
Chukwueze broke into Villarreal’s first team last season after a string of impressive performances for the reserve side.
The former Nigeria youth international scored five goals in 26 LaLiga appearances for the Yellow Submarines.
He turned down the chance to represent Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland in May, opting to feature for the senior side at the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt instead.
The 20-year-old scored one goal for the Super Eagles en route to their bronze medal win in the competition.
