Chukwueze’s first league appearance against Atletico almost one year ago, precisely on 24 February, 2019 ended in a 2-0 loss to Atletico while this season’s reverse fixture was a goalless draw.
Meanwhile, the pacy and skilful Super Eagles forward was in action for 14 minutes after replacing Paco Alcacer in Villarreal’s 2-1 win over Levante in last Saturday’s La Liga tie.
So far in the 2019/20 season, the 20-year-old has netted three times and rendered as many assists after making 23 Spanish top-flight appearances for the Yellow Submarine.
